Thank you for your interest in the Black Love symposium celebrating the 80th anniversary of Their Eyes Were Watching God.  

The symposium will be held September 11-18, 2017 with Events and Activities held at various venues​ across the city of Lawrence as well as a Colloquium of speakers and panels scheduled for September 14-16 on the University of Kansas campus.  In addition to KU faculty, staff, and students, we welcome members of the Lawrence, Kansas City, and Topeka communities to attend all of these programs. The entire symposium is free and open to the public.
